Behind the Scenes: Executive Council on Infrastructure

America is facing an infrastructure crisis. The reality is that government alone can’t fully fund all of the roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure that the economy needs.

 

BPC’s Executive Council on Infrastructure is developing recommendations to help facilitate increased private investment in infrastructure projects.

 

That’s why the infrastructure team traveled to New York City for a conversation with New York/New Jersey Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye, New York Department of Transportation Commissioner Polly Trottenberg, and former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. While in New York, the team received a behind-the-scenes look at an example of private investment in public infrastructure: the World Trade Center Transportation Hub.
